A Summer Apothecary Infusion
There is something sacred about walking barefoot in warm grass — until the mosquitoes remember you exist.
Instead of reaching for synthetic creams, I return to the garden.
This infusion brings together four gentle but effective herbs traditionally used to calm irritated skin:
• Chamomile – softens redness and soothes inflammation
• Lavender – antimicrobial and calming
• Peppermint – cooling and itch-relieving
• Lemon Balm – antiviral and comforting to reactive skin
Together, they create a cooling botanical oil that takes the edge off swelling and that maddening, persistent itch.
To round out the blend, I add a whisper of pure vanilla — not as the hero ingredient, but as a grounding warmth. It softens the sharper herbal notes and adds a subtle antioxidant touch that makes the blend feel comforting on the skin.
How It’s Made
Dried garden herbs are gently infused into a skin-safe carrier oil over several weeks, allowing the plant compounds to slowly release into the oil. The result is a golden, herb-rich remedy that feels both simple and intentional.
Strained, bottled, and ready for bare summer arms.
And yes…
This blend will be making its way into the LibraScorpioAries apothecary collection very soon. 🌿✨
Small batch. Garden-grown. Intentionally formulated.
If you’re building your summer herbal toolkit, keep an eye out.
With gratitude,
LibraScorpioAries 🌙
